Festivities will begin at 10:30 AM with a Worship Celebration in the Commons and overflow in the Historic Sanctuary.  After worship we will move outdoors for dinner on the grounds, followed by an Open House for folks to participate in a tour of the various ministry areas in the church.  We will conclude the day with a Prayer of Blessing over the church in our Historic Sanctuary at 2:30.

Martha Bowman has been a worshiping community for 200 years. Everyone has their own story about the way God has moved through this church and community of people. We want to share the stories and testimonies of Martha Bowman with one another and enjoy the memories together. 200 Hours of Prayer

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 says, “Be full of joy all the time. Never stop praying. In everything give thanks. This is what God wants you to do because of Christ Jesus.” We have had so much joy in our Martha Bowman community. Coming together corporately as one full body to pray for God’s continued blessing in our ministry areas and give thanks for the Lord’s faithfulness is life giving. As we lead into our 200 years celebration, let’s cover our church and our community in prayer.

Join us, starting October 4th, from 5-6 pm in the Commons every Tuesday for an hour of prayer. Can’t make it every week? No worries! Just choose one week to join.

200 Articles of Clothing

An anonymous local organization has reached out with a desperate need for clothing items for children and teenagers in short term care with them. Children and teens will be able to take outfits donated home with them and stay comfortable while receiving care. Please donate gently used clothing for children beginning at age 8 to 17. If you would like to purchase new clothing to donate, it would be greatly appreciated. The organization has specifically requested jeans, sweatshirts (with no hoods), and slide shoes. They always need new packages of underwear and socks for different ages too. We want to support our community and meet the needs of people around us.
